The SIP Variokit stands for optimum torque and promises more than just riding fun

Alongside the cylinder and crankshaft, the variomatic is the centrepiece of every automatic engine. It not only determines the shifting behaviour and torque, but also has a significant influence on the smooth running and top speed of CVT-powered engines. By replacing the standard variator with the SIP PERFORMANCE sports variator kit, you quickly achieve a noticeably better power output and improved pulling power from the scooter.

The variator kit for the Primavera/Sprint 150cc is perfectly matched to the engine. Not only the selection of weights and the contrast spring, but also the running surface angles of the variomatic and v-belt pulley have been specially adapted to the requirements of the PIAGGIO LEM/iGet engine. Especially in combination with the SIP PERFORMANCE-driven pulley, we have been able to achieve an excellent power output and optimum shifting behaviour of the Vario drive.

Thanks to the extremely high-quality workmanship of all components of the SIP PERFORMANCE Vario, the service life and durability are significantly higher than with conventional variators. In addition, the finely balanced, CNC-machined vario + v-belt pulley place much less strain on the engine and make it run much more smoothly.

A striking but not negligible point is the weight saving of around 20% compared to the original component (SIP vario / slide / calotte / bush / bush = approx. 740 grams | PIAGGIO vario / slide / calotte / v-belt pulley / bush = approx. 920 grams). As the SIP variomatic is around 180 grams lighter than the standard vario (weighed without vario rollers), the stressed engine components such as crankshafts, bearing bushes etc. are also subjected to slightly less stress.
